The Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) is Europe’s largest public-private initiative aiming to speed up the development of better and safer medicines for patients. IMI supports collaborative research projects and builds networks of industrial and academic experts in order to boost pharmaceutical innovation in Europe.

The initiative is a joint undertaking between the European Union and the pharmaceutical industry association EFPIA. Watch today’s video, from EFPIA, to find out more.

IMI has just launched its 6th Call for proposals under IMI 2, with topics on Big data (Alzheimer’s disease and cancer), respiratory infection, and medicines safety. The submission deadline is 12 January 2016. You can sign up for the webinars on the Call topics here. More information can be found on the IMI website.
